technically a song he did with Buffalo Springfield, I first heard it on Live at the Riverboat, one of his solo live sets I have on disc. it's a 'dope song' as he called it on the track...thus interpret the lyrics with that in mind I suppose.
ahh the electric.
I always thought of this tune as a love song, or at least something along the lines of that, before I hear Neil talk about it.

Thanks for the background information :) Glad you pointed it out, though i know who wrote the songs, i just knew the major part of the recorded buffalo springfield versions as i said.
Well at least we found our way back to a great cover version ;-)

@DerSekundenfaenger Neil Young origonally recorded this song with the Squires in the early 60's (1965 I think) but it was never released until Buffalo Springfield's first album came out in 1966. I wasn't trying to be a snob or anything, I just know these things :)

Great rendition, one of my favourite buffalo springfield tunes (im the one who is not that familiar with neil young ;-) ) Didnt know he played it solo later on, something i have to check out.
