my "giant light switch floor lamp" (by ED Vining)

a close look at the work in progress (the light switch is composed of hard maple with a pickling stain. I used jatoba to construct the stand. The music playing is "a well respected man" by: The Kinks

  • thanks! I used hard maple (same as a "Louisville Slugger") with a pickling stain. The base is composed of Jatoba. The switch itself is fairly heavy so.... it's a sturdy piece. The measurements are accurate within 1/128th of an inch on the smaller scale switch. (Thickness of the letters and space between them / screw slots considered) This was my "artful attempt at humor" so to speak.

  • that is so freakin cool! My daughter and I were at Archie Mcphee in Seattle Wa and we saw this one that was like maybe 10in big and we wanted one so I was tryin to find one and this popped up and thats much cooler.
