Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy at an MGM recording session for their 1938 film, "SWEETHEARTS".

Hear Mac and Eddy recording the song "MADEMOISELLE". In the film, the song is being played on the radio when Reginald Gardiner is calling the Hollywood Studio after the "Pretty As A Picture" number.

  • Can you say where you found this gem.

    Anne.

Absolutely! This comes from the special features on the "Sweethearts" DVD that was released earlier this year. Several recording sessions of this song are included --- as well as sessions for the song "Sweethearts" (which I have uploaded as well). This song only appears in the film as a radio performance. Listen to it behind Reginald Gardiner's telephone conversation with the "Benjamin Silver Studio".
