There are a lot of misconceptions about working the apparel industry. You don't frolic in fabric all day long and get to be creative 40 hours a week. There are times during the design cycle that you are doing a lot of fun things, but there is also a lot of time where you are working in excel, emailing, reviewing submits, emailing, filing, emailing, keeping track of everything, emailing, and so on. The work is fun and enjoyable and rewarding, but, and this is a big but, only if you are passionate about it! There is a lot of administrative work and there is a lot of team work, get used to it and love it, or get out!
