@nparch The fact that South Africa has 11 Official languages is moot. South Africa is racially diverse for Africa, but not for the Western world. I'll give you that the United States is probably not the most diverse, for example Canada is statistically more diverse, and we do have a smaller foreign-born population (as a percentage) than many other 1st world peers (including Canada, Australia, and Switzerland), but you can find nearly every nationality and language in the United States.
@nparch A branch of my family has lived in South Africa since the early years of the British South Africa Company, and I have spent a lot of time in the country (I visit at least once a year on holiday and participating in medical missions).
I'm aware that the Cape has very diverse plant life. Kirstenbosch is incredibly beautiful. All of South Africa is beautiful, but I don't think it is as beautiful or as varied terrain as the United States.
@JohnRhysMusician No John. The Cape has more diverse plantlife than the entire Northern Hemisphere combined (fact). There are more languages spoken in Africa, and South Africa alone has 11 Official languages. So technically, South Africa is more diverse. But I give you points for being patriotic.
Please, Carol. South Africa is one of the world's most beautiful countries, but the United States is the most diverse and most beautiful nation in the world, and the Americas are the most beautiful continents.
