A pretty girl is crying on a Yacht. Everybody went site seeing. Her Butler sneaks off to get wine.

A handsome scholar is playing his harp on the bridge.
The pretty girl stops crying, and plays her harp.
They make beautiful music together.

The scholar wants to become her friend.
The girl tells him to look at the flag on the yacht, that he will get into trouble.

The pretty girl was bought by The Old Chancellor to become one of his thirty six mistresses. She is trapped in a jade birdcage as a pet.

She explains to him that her destiny is not in her own hands.
He thought that she was The Old Chancellor's rich daughter. "This is sad. I feel that the Seven Daughters of Heaven has been recalled back into space."

I cannot translate the whole opera. The Poetry is so beautiful. I could hear every single musical instrument.

The girl gets beaten to death later, and becomes a ghost. The Opera continues...

Does anyone have the whole 再世紅梅記 Crown Laser Disk Original singing and Karaoke? I saw it in the stores 15 years ago, but I wasn't into chinese opera then. I will pay any price for it now.

The Crown 再世紅梅記 DVD set of 5 is the not complete Opera.

龍庭生飾演裵生，陳詠儀飾李慧娘；主唱是任劍輝、白雪仙，由於唱­演拆開，所以造成感情不一致，聲音有聲音表情與口氣，悅聽人很難­從畫面把兩者融合，建議大家不要看畫面，想要看字幕就轉軸到螢幕­最上方，把字留下即可。因為是電影所以化妝不需跟現場演出那麼誇­張，讓人感覺裵生眼神太兇，也許是龍庭生的眼白露太多。

If you enjoy Tong Dik Sang's works, you may want to catch the movie "The Mad Phoenix" or in chinese "Nan Hi Si San Lang". The show is about the story of another famous Cantonese opera writer. But the show also touches on the relationship between Nan Hi Si San Lang and Tong Dik Sang. A very interesting movie.
