Servis UK Powerglide Wringer Washer, made by Servis UK at their factory in Darlaston, West Midlands. Thought of as the rolls royce of washers in their heyday!!!

This machine uses a large spinning Turbulator disc in the base of the tub, angled in the corner, it produce fast swirling currents of water to whirl your clothes through the soapy water. It features an active use wringer, you have to actively step on the pedal to start the wring, rather than press to stop as in most other machines.

it also featues a novel way of emptying the drum, no pump, just a lever which you slide across, this moves a little tube into the vortex flow of the water under the spinning turbulator. The water then is forced up the tube and through the outlet pipe into the sink...very novel!!!
