More or less the guy they caught was used as an example of all the classic hacker stereotypes or he was paid to participate in this to give anonymous a bad name to scare the people but, i know if I was doing or not doing what he was then, there's no way in hell I would admit to it!

I don't mind hackers exposing the truth. In the contrary, they are using their skills for the good cause. However, if they use their skill for their own benefit, say steal information or credit cards, then you deserve to be punished.
