Shame your video gets so many dislikes. Lustig is an idiot. His popularity on youtube just goes to show how easily you can persuade a non-scientific population by acting charismatic. And, of course, that youtubers are, in general, idiots.

Also, the comments about energy were pointed towards consumables, etc. that increase or decrease your energy levels and Dr. Lustig was clearly not implying that these were beneficial to your health, and although your comments regarding our bodies being in a state of stress ring true, he is not implying this is a good state to be in. There are many references later in the film with respect to the political nature of these "fake foods" being sanctioned largely for their inexpensive nature that also support what you've said about quality of food. I know that these are not specifically addressed in the manner that you mention them, but the conspiracy that's implied here is ill founded in my opinion. (3)

I am fairly confident that the points made by illustrating the Atkins and Japanese diets were not meant to insinuate that removal of sugar was the way these diets helped people lose weight. Under medical supervision both these diets have proved themselves and because they have been popularized they are used in this context to support an argument being given to a largely educated audience. perspective that stimulates thinking and questioning these so called authorities. Dr. Lustig's research has spawned the birth of diabetes drugs and a public fear of sugar, which I believe some light and perspective needs to be shed on. Thanks again for your comments : )

Thank you for you comments - they are much appreciated. I do think that the majority of the people that watch this video by Dr. Ludwig would come away believing that ALL sugar is bad and we need to avoid it. 99% of the clients I deal with on a daily basis believe this to be true and I think it is presentations like this that create this illusion which leads 99% of the population avoiding "sugar" (however each individual chooses to define that). I only hope to provide a different
