Old school choppers are still the baddest things on the planet. There's no 35,000 candy-encrusted two-wheeled parade float sold by Big Dog that can come close to touching them. If you built it in your garage out of parts, and fabricated your own fender and gas tank, and if it has a touch of rust and a splash of grease, it's REAL and it's YOURS. Amen, baby.

You owe it to yourself to make at least one LONG RIDE in your life. Some do it every year, while others only dream. I did a solo trip in 2009 from San Diego, down through New Orleans, and up to Virginia, and then straight across back to Cali passing through Frisco, down the PCH, back to SD. 20 states and 7740 miles; without a single issue. No GPS, no map, no drama. All I had was just a .45, cash (to keep the wife from tracking my every transaction), and a cardinal heading to ride east/westward.
