  • I've been playing 3rd for 4 years now on my softball team, this is really not what 3rd basemen/girls do... I agree with @ebball15, its not the hardest to play, but you recieve a lot of line drives and grounders, so you do have to be on your toes and paying attention the entire time.

  • @buttxdart its not the hardest to play...the hardest is probably short-stop cuz short-stop is basically controlling the field and has a lot more responsibility then other positions...I throw right handed too but the third baseman needs to have a strong arm..thats y u dont play too far off the line so you can get the line balls...u want to get ur body in middle of ball in order to have a better chance of getting the ball not reaching out to it...and I play in a good league with only 1 lefty!

  • um well third base is hard i think 2nd is easy but i love third and all the balls arent going to you

  • @ebball15 umm ur right about some of wat you said but its the hardest to play if you play in a good league. If you play in a hard league with a bunch of right handed batters its not only the funnist but the hardest, an how i stand is about 2 steps in front of 3rd an about 4 over an i throw right handed so always keep ur mit far as you can tword the base line , but just sayin..

  • well its obvious where u stand...u stand about 5 steps in from the base and about a step or two to the left of the foul line. And you really dont do much with the outfielders unless there is a play at 3 that the catcher is calling then you have to line up the cut off and tell them if they need to cut it or not to get it to u...There isnt much to it since its about the easiest position out there....

  • too vague, tell us where to stand and what we do when the ball goes over us, how we relate to the outfielders etc

  • pointless

  • @rcarpio3 make sure u stand on the on the corner closest to the 1st base men and the won't run into u:)

  • This videos are just descriptions..where is the show casing of 3rd base?? Who cares about describing 3rd base attributes....SHOW/DEMONSTRATE more!! Ive watched her just describe each position...boring!

  • this did help my dughter is a thrid basmen and she just started shes in mustang softball and she looks really go she has a good arm but she need to controul it
