Really nothing beats a 747 :)
-
Not to mention a nearly full load of fuel, as this aircraft is taking off full of pax. and cargo for a flight of over 5000 nm.
Nothing quite beats the feeling of taking off on a fully loaded 747 for a long haul flight!

@Boeing747fan: outside air temperature and the altitude of the airfield also matter significantly - engines produce less real thrust in a "hot-and-high" airport, so often a longer takeoff roll is required. For Heathrow of course, thats not the case.

You can tell he had alot of weight because the 747-400 can climb steep.
-
seems like more power was needed for the t/o.,also i think the pilot rotated earlier than the required a/speed.

i've been to london once.. it was amazing..

I love those Rolls Royce engines, they're the only thing that made the L1011 nice.

Nothing quite like a 747!

The noise the 747 makes when it's engines roar up for the take off roll is absolutely gut wrenching if you are onboard the plane. The power those beasts have is absolutely incredible.
