@xSirEnderx Don't call it Emo then. Or if you must, accompany it with some more descriptive adjectives. For example "awkward" if the band/song you're describing is awkward, or "sloppy" if it's sloppy.

And by the way, Emo doesn't have to be about confessional lyrics. That's a very general description. Emo can be about very refined emotions as well. Textbook punk is more "Raw" in that sense, with a touch of cynism usually.

And, it's only short for "emotional" when you're talking in context.

@XiuTheFeared It blows, honestly. Can't even utter the word "emo" without people thinking "wristcutters", "hot topic", and all that shit. Emo is about confessional lyrics. Emo is about raw emotions. But these wanna-be teen kid posers turned it into an insult, and a word laughed upon by most people /=
