@JGBrigden not at all, there is a company in the uk that makes kits that makes the mini rear engined, all you lose is the back seats, im tossing up between honda k20a and a hayabusa engine.

Do you mean the TV series Z Cars? If so they were pretty standard looking with a few Police additions. Good luck with it.
-
@JGBrigden thanks for that, i only ask because im looking at building a z cars mini, i was just unsure what the cars came with originally currently looking at 13x8s

@bagpuss170363 My husband posted this and got his facts wrong - it is one of the B reg'd works cars at mini spares! Have seen the original cars at Gaydon Motor Heritage Museum :o)

The only Minis with 13inch wheels were the competition ones as far as I am aware. This was the only way we could get the range of tyres needed for such an event. Dunlop did a splendid job on the road tyres while we had to get studded tyres specially made in Norway. Still have a few left!
My own Mini EUO 868C will be back on the road soon. It last saw action, winning its class on the Ypres Rally more than 10 years ago. A few cobwebs and a bit of polish...

Let down by a wrong fan-belt. If Paddy had been driving 33 EJB, it would have fitted!

The Monte Mini was geared for the 13 inch wheels which provided better grip and a greater range of tyres - there were no studded tyres available for instance. Steering was a little heavier but that was mainly due to the LSD, not the tyres.
