Problem I'm having with my Epson R340 printer. I tried to print, it made a brief awful grinding noise and then displayed "printer error. Please see your manual". Manual told me to turn it off and on again. Doesn't matter how long I leave it off I get an error when turning it on. I've checked the paperfeed and there's nothing in there blocking it.

  • Nope, not yet. Every now and then I plug it in just to see if thre's any change but nothing. It's been suggested that I take it in someplace for servicing but I think it's going to end up costing more than a new printer. Let me know if you ever manage to get it resolved!

  • Search for your printer service manual here: refillbros com manuals

  • I suppose you should press the reset button. It's a tiny grey button near the cartridges. You hold it for 10 seconds and let the printer do some initialization. Most epson printers have one.

  • I have exact same problem! Did you ever find a solution?

  • Mine goes BANG right after that initializing sequence, and comes up error. Then I get mad and let it sit for a year, dig it back out,and it works fine again for a while.
