This is so full of pathos and anguish! Meryl's voice has a great quality. I first heard her sing in the film 'Mama Mia' - I don't think that many people believed that it WAS she who was singing!

We Love You Meryl! Forever! (:

This song still sends shivers down my spine, really. I'm not at all a God loving person. I don't believe in a God at all, but THIS! So beautifully sung!

Lovely version of song. 2 films have been made about the writing of the hymn. One was called 'Amazing Grace' and covered the British political end of the transport of slaves came about and friendship between an English MP and the ex captain of ships that transported slaves. This story is about the man in govt who worked to stop it. The other "The Amazing Grace" is about the ship captain and his experiences that changed his life and eventually wrote the song. Both are moving and fascinating.

It is indeed! :) She sings this in her film Silkwood. It always gives me goosebumps because of her voice and the way she sings it. Thanks for watching, by the way! ;)
