  • Beautiful, magical, spiritual. I think this film was so popular because it wasn't mindless fighting and bloodshed. It tugs on the soul, our very being and lets us just feel.

  • @StellarJetman

Yeah.. Avatar is certainly reductionist. Nature good! Human bad! And it's Pocahontas in space.

But still an amazingly entertaining film though.

  • This is practically what it's like today in the real world. Humans are greedy pigs that seek only money and fame- not caring about the ill, the homeless and the abandoned. They cut down all the trees to make a couple of bucks when trees help us breathe! Without plants, we would all die.

  • @10tillsundown because the sequel is ideal to continue the dream :D im happy the movie had an happy end.. but damn the dream ended.... lets continue it with the underwater world xD

  • I think this movie is like the species that made it - long-winded, stupid and pretentious. It had so much potential, but squandered it on awful dialogue and flashy fighting. The ending is a perfect mirror image of us - the humans will just be back and nuke the whole planet to oblivion from orbit, just like heavy pollution and a ruined ecosystem will be back to bite us real-life humans in the ass in a few decades.

  • @liamdudeeee Oh, xD, I forgot 'bout that one :P But our world isn't beyond 'repair'. Resources are running out, but that doesn't mean the end. We are an intelligent species. We are destroying our world, but we can undo most of what we did if we tried to. So it isn't beyond repair. It is beyond total repair.

  • @servyne I was replying to your comment to Rahruck, not the one above it. So i didnt read anything wrong.

  • @liamdudeeee I agree, but as i reread my comment, I see I didn't write a single word about the world's condition... rather the origin from Avatar and Pocahontas' tale. So, I take it you're the fool for not understanding it. Nonetheless, I agree, resources are running out. And I poop rainbows, and yes, there are magical Leprechauns at its end.

  • @servyne why is he a fool? resources are running out buddy, its not like a magic Leprechaun is going to turn up at the last minute and make everything better. Your a fool for thinking the world is totally fine.

  • @eatmeseventimes And Pocahontas is similar to John Carter of Mars, like Avatar is turn. Every aspect of a tale originates from a mastermind in one era which is then used by all others. The greatest example being the Bible. Nonetheless, Avatar did what it was created to do: Entertain the fuck out of the world and sweep it off its foundations for the three hours inside the theater.

  • @Rahruck Fool.
