This was the hardest battle in the whole game if you don't have reflect ring...

i used reflect ring as well, but i also used Ultima to speed up the battle instead of waiting for him to kill himsellf with his magic. Going up the tower you get no less than 5ap (magic points) 5-9 and its so easy to master the abilities. I hate how they change names of things and people on the Gameboy, PSX kept it the same as NES.

While the tower was boring without the random encounters, I gotta think it would've been frustrating with them; this way, you don't have the "oh God, ANOTHER MONSTER?!?!? WHEN WILL THIS NIGHTMARE END" factor.

Oh, there is no way I would have been able to get through the tower if the random encounters were turned on.
