It sickens me that 'blacks' are using something such as surface melanin to prove supreme or divine being over others. Reality is dark pigmentation is caused from eu-melanin and light pigmentation is caused from pheo-melanin and we all have the melanocytes cells that produce it. dark skin just has flat melanocytes cells as whites have more narrow ones with red blood cells and carotene closer to the surface aswell. You all are just fueling racism and holding back humanity from love. Brothers:(

LOL "deficient" & "defect" aren't the same words. You just assume that a "deficient amount of melanin to protect your skin from the sun" is defective.

As I said, "caucasoids" suffer from MANY diseases @ higher rates, like Osteoporosis & Parkinson's, etc.

You did say defect, BTW, not putting words in your mouth: "deficient amount of melanin" is the same as saying whites are merely defective blacks.

This is not the case, however. White-skinned blacks still look black and still have all of the negative health consequences that goes along with that DNA.

The cause for white skin is fairly well understood to be a combination between vitamin-D rich diets in Europe, less UVA/B exposure, preferential breeding (most men still choose lighter skinned women...), and advantageous survival benefits in the snow.

There is no singular reason - and white skin is certainly no defect.  It is the result, primarily, of less solar exposure over generations. And it persists for the same reason.
