Finally a new tribute! Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long...

This is the tribute for the ruinous powers of Chaos, Dark Gods and their servants - daemons, mutants, sorcerers and Traitor Legions of Space Marines.
The Chaos Gods are powerful beings of the psychic universe known as the warp, created and sustained by the emotions and souls of every living being of the material universe. Although they are god-like beings, they are by their nature monomaniacal and completely single-minded - being formed completely of a single emotion or concept - as well as being completely dependent on the emotions of mortal creatures for their power and continued existence.

The gods are rivals of each other - the constant war between them mirrors the struggle between their followers in the material universe, and vice versa. Victory in mortal battles lends more power to the relevant god, although often victory is not necessary, just the shedding blood and sacrifice is required.

The four main Gods of Chaos are:
Khorne - The Blood God
Tzeentch - The Changer of the Ways
Nurgle - The Great Lord of Decay
Slaanesh - The Prince of Excess

The first three gods became sentient by the end of M2 but Slaanesh didn't fully awaken until the Fall of the Eldar in M29.

Gods are able to devote a fraction of their power to create a daemon, whose appearance and character reflect the god's own nature. These daemons may be reabsorbed into the god at whim. The least of the minor Gods may be so limited in their power that expending their power to create a daemon means their entire power is expended - in effect the god becomes a daemon.

A daemon's appearance and character reflect the god's own nature. These daemons may be reabsorbed into the god at whim.

Being an entity of the warp - a dimension of the immaterial - a daemon cannot exist in the universe of reality under normal circumstances. Outside the Eye of Terror and other similar places, daemons can exist temporarily in real space by being summoned through complex rituals. A daemon may also enter the mind of a mortal (the mind of a psyker is the most susceptible to this), and turn the individual to its will and, through its host, affect reality. Some heretics offer themselves as hosts through daemonic pacts such as the Possessed Chaos Space Marines.

The Chaos Space Marines are counted among the most dedicated and powerful servants of the Powers of Chaos.

Ten thousand years ago, Horus, Warmaster of the Imperium and most trusted 'son' of the Emperor, fell under mysterious circumstances to Chaos. Besides the Space Marine Legion under his direct command, the Sons of Horus, eight of his brother-Primarchs and their legions also joined him in the Horus Heresy against the Emperor. They were eventually defeated at the Battle of Terra, where Horus was slain, and fled to the Eye of Terror. Since then, on very rare occasions, individual Space Marines, squads, companies, and exceptionally even whole Chapters have defected to the side of Chaos. Most of the time these traitors form their own warbands.

Hidden in the Eye of Terror the Chaos Marines wait, worship their fell Gods, recruit and turn cultists into new Chaos Marines, fight amongst themselves and other minions of Chaos, gather their strength, and on occasion, raid the galaxy killing and destroying everything in their path.

The overall leader of all Chaos Space Marines, to the extent that they have a consistent leader at all, is Abaddon the Despoiler, rumored to be a 'clone-son' of Horus, who has since led 13 Black Crusades against the hated Imperium.

There are also many 'average' humans who serve Chaos; simple traitors, criminals, renegades, heretics and mutants. This broad assortment of the renegades of the galaxy is collectively labeled The Lost and the Damned.

  • @Chaosmugetsu just because he can do that doesn't mean he's the warp he can manipulate it yes but he isn't the warp itself I maintain a firm stance that if any of the gods were to fight it would end in a stalemate they all are equally powerful

  • Lord Carron: METAL BOXES!

    Solid Snake: SHIT GOT REAL!

  • @Noel667 i have a single point that Tzeentch is actually more powerful than the others due to the fact that he materializes matter from the Warp from just his thoughts...which means he IS the Warp itself, the others reside in HIS domain

  • @dark7element Thus you can see Chaos is inevitable. We lurk not only beyond their grasp and at their gates; we lurk within the darkness of their souls, on the tip of their tongues, in their tortured dreams. We are them, but freed from the shackles of ignorance. We are them, grown strong… evolved. We are them, but so much more!

    -Diuman Cilious, Alpha Legion Sorcerer

  • What the thick-headed fools with their broken corpse of an Emperor fail to understand is that not only can they never defeat us, but they can not hide or flee or shield themselves from the triumph of Chaos. They are finite and we are unbound, undivided. They must not err, or they fall to heresy. All who fall join our cause. Every Imperial fool who dares to open his eyes is a willing recruit. They strive merely to hold back our fury and might, and it consumes them.>

  • Boxes for the box gawd!

  • MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!!!!!

  • @Warhammermaster450 Woot ? Living forever? Becoming the best warrior ? Or endless orgies ? Unlimited magic power ?! If these things were real, I'd be the first to seek the blessing of each of the gods! And i don't care if i look a bit mangled in the end. Why would I :3

  • do i really need to say this

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
