1977 SCCA Ponca City Grand Prix. John and Jim Lee of Ponca City drove in this race several years and this one was filmed by Jeri Lee. This is 8mm silent film, so no engine sounds are available.
The Ponca City race was held in the 60's 70's and 80's in a city park outside of Ponca City Oklahoma. Some of the fastest cars could reach speeds of over 150 mph on the back straight. This was one of the last true road courses left in the US, and was last run in the early 90's if I recall. I'm sure the lawyers ended up stopping the races due to the hazards involved.
