A 'by ear' version of this Robin Williamson song from the album 'The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion'. Actually, Litegauge kindly provided some music so I tweaked a few chords - THANKS!

One of my favourite songs. Tuning is Open G - DGDGBD. As usual, capo is purely to allow me to sing in a much lower key. Robins original vocals are inimitable.

Sorry about the light streaming in the window!

  • Druid this is great :), you have to listen to wizz jones's version too its amazing also only with acoustic guitar and vocals its here on the right in the "related videos" section, i even dare to say i like hes version better :D.

you did a fine job 5 stars mate!, im a kind of guitar freak, from the shape and sound i would say its a Breedlove hog guitar am i right ? :P

    Jesse.

  • An impressive stab at the guitar type - especially given the dodgy picture and sound (recorded on a mobile phone). You're bang on (you freak!) - it's a Breedlove AC25/SM.

I've listened to the Wizz Jones version and loved it. I recommend checking out Litegauge's interpretations of ICB songs - he's got a great style and talent.

  • you bloody rock

  • Much appreciated! Hi to all in Sioux Falls.

  • A really good job. Well done and congrats. Scottish, too, methinks? Thumbs and regards.

  • Thank you :P, anyhow i tried a BreedLove Revival Dreadnought and liked it but it was too expensive for me...something like 4.5k$ here !!!, its ridicules the prices here, in the US you can get a custom shop guitar for that kind of money...

glad you liked the wizz jones one of my favorites, i know "litegauge" and yea he does very nice covers of really good British folk songs i agree :).

    Jesse.
