Tom this is great ...the imagery fits the tune really well...these guys have a good sound not completely punkish / I can't get the other word I'm thinking of......the singer has a nice voice.

@elmerlang Haaa! (Sorry... I hadn't heard that one one!) Sting kinda lost me in the Amazon rain-forest days.
-
@leokimvideo Which reminds me, did you hear Sting changed his name to Stung? (Sorry, bad joke)

@elmerlang hello elmer, I found out by noticing all the RIP comments on the My Sharona videos. All this made me feel another day older.
I clearly remember Paul McCartney stating the Knack was going to be the NEXT BIG THING, if anything that comment was the KISS OF DEATH. The Knack never really had another mega hit, in a way all you needed was one monster hit, they did that in style.

Hell, I reached out for the top shelf after editing this mammoth!
Just on a music note after watching the eternal classic My Sharona by the Knack on the tube I found out the singer Doug Fieger passed away earlier this year. That's a blow as he still could belt out that song like no other.
It was only a few years back he was here on tour with the countdown special looking very good and singing great.
Take a look at Rick Springfield, another who defies getting old.

@leokimvideo
I just missed out on seeing him at the Countdown Spectacular thing, but I caught it on TV.... he was in great form & I can't believe he's gone now.

@offplanetfilms Mr offplanetfilms, seeing the song played live on the countdown spectacular was for me the highlight, sure the band was no there but the reason was. The lead singer had lost none of his power in delivering the song about a real life girl who now does real estate.
If you ever do a real estate course this story is usually part of one lesson. And dare i say the word 'NICHE' marketing via rock and roll real estate.

@leokimvideo
I once read when Devo heard "My Sharona", they decided they needed a song/hit just like it, and thats how "Girl U Want" was developed.
