Mellencamp kicks ass. Always has. Always will. . Mellencamp has had a hard road to hoe to get there. Lifetime of sweat & blood. Small town boy does good! Bad boy in good company in the Hall of Fame. Well deserved.

That was the most intelligent award acceptance speech I've ever heard from a musician. Most musicians/singers/"artists" sound dumb when they accept awards. They say stuff like, "Yo, yo, I want to thank God. I want to thank my manager. I want to thank my mom & my homies back home...." Why would you want to thank God when you just sang a song about banging some slutty woman? It boggles my mind. Anyway...good job, Mr. Mellencamp.
