A short documentary film profiling the Music Therapy Program at Michigan State University. MSU was the first school in the world to initiate a degree program in music therapy, but due to the strains of the economy today MSU was forced to make budget cuts. The College of Music decided it would be best to put a moratorium on the music therapy program that serves many people in the community by providing therapy sessions to individuals young and old in need of the special benefits only music therapy can produce. This is a short film produced by Alex Beachum, Peter Dean, and Stephanie L. Sparks.

  • What a sad thing that they decided to cut such a BEAUTIFUL program!! I'm a music therapy major at Illinois State University, and when we heard the news, we were devastated!!
