KTM vs Yamaha

me and my brother messing around at cactus flats. I'm on my uncle's EXC-R 530 and my brother is on the WR400 that i usually ride. he's trying to get in some practice on the 400 before dumont. the bikes are the KTM EXC-R 530 and the Yamaha WR400. both are street legal and awesome bikes, although the WR is much heavier (but in my opinion more powerful at a nice budge compared to the KTM, which i think cheats a little with a carbon fiber frame). the bike at the end is my brother's TT-R 125 (awesome little bike for its size, perfect for wheelies without getting hurt).

both are great bikes and i'm pretty sure you'll be happy with either one. the ktm does come with upgrades already built into it, but you can buy those for a little cheaper if you go yamaha.

for 125 2 stroke KTM is in the leading position....

and in 4 stroke they both kick @ss lol

my cousin had 3 125 2 stroke's, he began on a Kawasaki kx 125 from 97, after that he bought a Yamaha yz 125 from 2001 and said he really felt the difference in quality, he said yamaha was much better, but when he bought a KTM from 2007 he was amazed, he said it was the best quality 125 2 stroke there is, after that he bought a KTM 250 4 stroke from 2008 but now he has a Yamaha yzf 450 from 2009 :)

well you have to remember that there is a big difference between the 2001 yz 125 and the 2007. the only way to really compare bikes is to compare the same years, because there is a huge difference between bikes like my 1999 yamaha wr400 and the 2009 yamaha wr450. but still, they are all great bikes and i would take any one of them.

in 2 stroke Honda and Yamaha aren't that good as KTM but in 4 strokes Honda is much better than both, well thats for my feeling, AND.... i saw it on motors TV xD

they all have their good and bads. i prefer yamaha because it has many more good things than bad. yamaha has the best 125 2-stroke there is, and their racing 4 strokes are just as good. they are all great when it comes to trail bikes.

i was riding the KTM. i love how light the thing is, and it's a 530. just got back from riding in the mountains not far from in this video. i was riding my yamaha that's in this video. i love all of them.

i prefer KTM, in all those years i drive motorbikes i always choose KTM, im now the proud owner of a KTM sx who kicks @ss!!
