@mountjoy23 - Yeah, he's a good pedaller. It looks like the sort of road where one small driver error would result in a direct trip back to the bottom and instant death.

@thorndonpark for sure bmw inline 6, either an e30 325i base engine, or one of the e36 m3 engines (e30 325i engine would be heavily modified if it is)

no this is the transmission that was on the original bmw e30 333i the 1st gear is down there instead of the 2nd and the 2nd is instead of the 3rd and so on!

@thorndonpark, i agree, definitely an inline 6, i wont guess because it is youtube and i will get flamed !! That is a man who knows his car very well though

ah okthanks did'nt know that, i've driven a ferarri once with a 1st gear down left.
I have a E30 myself (not an m3) so I assumed that the m3 was about the same as mine

M3 E30 has dogleg 1st gear (down left).
