Television ads like "Conservative Rally" are a perfect illustration of Mark Neumann and our campaign. Mark is a political outsider who does not owe favors to anyone. Even when he was in Congress, Mark stood up to party bosses over government spending. As was the case back then, career politicians are destroying our state and country today.

Mark Neumann is a principled conservative who can be trusted to reduce the size of government. Mark has a plan to cut spending by $2 billion -- a plan similar to the one he used to balance the federal budget while in Congress. Mark is not a career politician; he will limit himself to two terms as Governor.

You Godwined the thread in record time, congrats.

Interesting analogy BTW - very revealing.

  • @kusgilb The only way to take away mega corporations' power is to take away their customers. Bring back the mom and pop shops and you will kill the Wal-Marts that run the show. Yes Wal-Mart will still exist, but their power due to lower sales and less customers will result in less clout in D.C. and State governments. Increasing government regulations is welcomed by the corporations since it shuts down the mom and pop stores by making compliance too expensive and bothersome.

  • @kusgilb Bullshit. This country was founded on free market principles. If you say corporations control the government, then by giving the government more power you are just giving the corporations that control the government more power. Government and corporations have the exact same goals. That's like asking Hitler to babysit a couple of Jewish kids and expecting Hitler to keep them safe.

A true free market can never exist except in the minds of men.

Regulation will always be needed because those who make the rules do so to enrich themselves.

The same goes for libertarian thinking. Works well in theory, but fails miserably in reality.

  • @kusgilb I agree, but please be more specific. So many people in this country want socialism and wrongfully blame free market capitalism for the crash. The problem we have with our economy is corporatism that was created from crony capitalism. I agree corporations need to stay away from politicians and visa versa. It is a major violation in a true free market for big business to receive taxpayer money or get special treatment from politicians. I hope you know of Congressman Ron Paul?

I have no problems with businessmen being businessmen, but do not trust them not to pass legislation to help line their pockets.

  • @kusgilb What is wrong with businessmen? I'm sure you buy things from corporations every day. Microsoft XBox, fast food restaurants, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. The free market is regulated by We the Consumer. Every day that you do business with a business, you are giving it a vote of confidence that they are providing you a valuable services and/or product. What you don't want is when we the people don't support a business for the government to bail them out with taxpayer money.

  • Mark Neumann is pretty awesome :]

  • Yea - Another rich white businessman comes to save the unwashed masses.

  • Gov'r Jim Doyle likes gerbils inside of his person.
