Danes react to embassy attack - 02 June 08

Condemnation of a blast that targeted the Danish embassy in Pakistan has been swift, with the country's prime minister calling it "an attack against Denmark".

To understand what the whole cartoon incident is all about, you need to know about domestic policy in Denmark. It is actually not an international issue! The cartoons was originally printed as a response against very agressive islamist extremists in Denmark. This spring the police arrested 3 suspects for planning to kill the cartoonist. The re-publishing was a response to the extremists that threats and violence does not pay.

Islam knows only one way - war and violence and they hope to get their way. Denmark does not need to apologise for extremists who were the real racists here. Danes and other Europeans will not accept being told what to do by others who have a different culture and extremist way of life not complatible with Europe!

Since you have nothing to do with it visit the other 200 places you have on your list. @Dark2Dangerous i'm sure Pakistan is beatiful, but could i go there as a dane and walk around the streets? i don't think so. and as long as the pakistan goverment and the people there, cant make it a safe place, i have no intentions of going there. there's 200 other countries in the world. at least we got good safety and security here in Denmark. and you can go around everywhere. that's what i look at when i travel, so no i will never go to pakistan as long as it's so extremist as it is now
