@FlagWarrior Good answer from the Bible. AMEN. and in military history, the flags called for the armies to rally around the king, and Christ is the King! the word for banner in the old testament is Nissi, which is interchangeable with "miracles". God is a miracle worker and His banner over us is love!

To speakthetruthnlove, Exodus 17:15 notes that Moses named an altar "Jehovah-Nissi," which means 'God is my ensign (or banner) --- citation: Cruden's Complete Concordance --- which references God's triumphant interceding in battle for the Israelites. My favorite 'flag' scripture reference is Isaiah 59:19 --- God lifting up a 'standard' to protect us/me. Another fav: Solomon 6:4 . .. 'Thou art . . . (as) awesome as an army with banners."

The bible does not state flags but standard or banner. In Numbers 2 banner/standard were flags identifying the tribes and when used in worship they identify you as a part of Gods army. Flags (banners or standards) represent silent shouts of victory and signal Gods presence -Psalm 20:5, rally the troops of God -Psalm 60:4; Isaiah 10:12; 18:3 and are instruments of warfare when raised up that cause the enemy to flee Isaiah 59:19.
