no but the Qing dynasty was after the Ming dynasty, so how can the "emperor" give Macau as a present when the Qing dynasty was in power?

the qing dynasty was an invading power itself that it didn't care about china's unity. the manchus once said they would rather give land to the west than the han chinese. macau wasn't established as a colony but a trading port that allowed foreign docking. portugal declared it as its colony during the qing dynasty when china was so messed up by the manchus.

@Mayyoubekind: you lose all credibility because I can tell you can't even get your facts straight. If you believe HK to be a former Portuguese colony, then what other distorted and baseless assertions do you base your arguments on?

I mean, you can't even get a simple fact correct. And we're talking SIMPLE.......and I know AP didn't write what you wrote.....
