Gay Pride Rally in Bakersfield, California

Some footage I took at a gay rights rally in Bakersfield, CA (Conservative Capital of California). I half-expected to be hit by an angry, homophobic old man every time I crossed the road.

No, I am not gay, but I really did vote against Prop 8, and I do support gay rights. I hate to get on my soap box, but...while it may be easy to say, "I'm not gay, what does it matter to me," you should realize that there are not enough gay people in the world to win their own rights. So if gays are to be treated fairly (and why shouldn't they be?), us straight folks need to lend them our votes.
