Here's another test of the top view. Yes, I know there are at least three errors, but hey, I haven't played it in about a year. This was a one take thing, just trying to get my sound back up to snuff and a good view. All comments welcome.

I'd said it before and I'll say it again... The tricks during the "wtf" hi-hit pattern is just SICK! Make us all other drummers look like shit :-P

is that a different version of the song? at around 3:15 the vocals stop but i know Geddy sings one more phrase before the break-down. weird....

Flawless, as always. Damnit, dude. You did it again. I dunno if I or someone else has asked you this, but how do you figure out EXACTLY what's being played? Do you sit and chart out the drum parts, or do you just have a ginormous brain that automatically soaks up everything it comes across? I know full well you're not simply winging it.

@sbrushfan By the time I'm ready to "play" something, it's just there. It's a fluid, analog process. Once I get flowing, it's cool. I just make mental notes when I'm trying to learn a tune of things that I have no idea about and then after several listens, I've narrowed the 'hard parts' down to 30 seconds out of 5 minutes or so. Then I just practice those hard parts. When I have that down, I put it into the rest of the song that I already know pretty well.

Lol maybe there wouldn't be errors if there weren't so many stick tricks!
I kid I kid, but I do like this camera angle.
A teensy bit more bass drum in the mix would be awesome.
Maybe some more tom too.

@Ignitionator I'll try and tweak the sound tomorrow. Actually all the errors are in the solo part, it's just SOOOO hard to remember, especially after a year.
