Rare Bear Morning Test Flight

Sunday morning test flight after an all-night thrash by Dave Cornell's dedicated crew to get max power from the engine. Sorry for the shaky camera; it was cold and I only had on shorts, a t-shirt and a fleece jacket. Shot with a Fuji S5200.

in what theater of war was this plane used? on who's side? ive never heard of this plane

It's a Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat, so it's US. It went into service in the Pacific theater at the very end of WW-II, so it never saw action vs. the Imperial Navy. The French used it in Indochina in the 1950s.
