  • @lastingpain22 It would move upwards, because water is a fluid such that resistance to motion increases as the speed of the motion increases. Notice the differential in downward and upward motion. The fast downward sweep would generate more resistance from the water than the upward sweep. This is the case notwithstanding that the downward sweep is shorter in duration.
