Over 30 years ago Gar Williams restored the Oldest Cessna, a 1928 Cessna AW, he piloted this famous airplane throughout the midwest. For the last 5 years the Cessna Aw has been on display at the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings & Wheels Museum. George Jenkins, owner of the Eagles Mere Air Museum purchased the Cessna. This is a video of the Cessna leaving the Poplar Grove Airport (C77) for it new home in Eagles Mere, PA.

  • Am I right to say that it has a continental 670?

  • wow, that is the oldest Cessna I have ever seen

  • Really enjoyed your video and seeing one of these classics where they belong; in the sky. Also thanks for including the sound of the plane at the end. Cheers.

  • I just saw this very plane parked at our local airfield in Troy, Ohio, about 2 weeks ago. They got gas and then took off. Afterwards, there was a big write-up about it. I wish I had known how special it was. I would have gotten closer and checked it out.

  • Nicely done!

  • @stinson1081 Classical Gas? I think it's perfect for this video!

  • What a great film. Many thanks!
