This is a tribute to Mrs.Johnson. Her strength,charm, and grace are to be admired.She is one of the most popular First Ladies. It is sad that President Johnson hurt her so much. He made the comment, she is the prettist lady is Texas and when he was on his death bed he told her that she was getting ready to be the richest and prettiest widow in Texas. I want to think that he did love his wife. I have read Mrs.Johnson is a very sensative,caring,& kind lady.She always seemed that way. I also think she was very pretty, beautiful dark hair, beautiful eyes, pretty skin, and a charming smile. Just my thoughts.

This is a lovely tribute..I was not even born when she became First Lady, but I have studied quite a bit on her, and I love to watch videos of interviews with Lady Bird. I could listen to her speak all day...lol I agree with others that say it is a shame that she was married to LBJ. She deserved better, but the sweet lady was devoted to that old SOB.

What's really sad is how for so many years that former First Lady Kennedy shawdow constantly hung over her and became a constant presence through the Johnson years and just when they began to come into their own....it ends.

She was a texas beauty, inside and out. Just a dam shame she married a no good sob and cheating womanizeing bully like LBJ. LBJ, deserved to be in prision, not the white house. Folks, when it ALL comes out in the final wash, dont be surprised that LBJ had JFK murdered like he did DIEM and other political opponents. History is catching up to that dickhead LBJ> TRUTH. God Bless Lady Bird for all she put up with in life.A fine lady, unmearused fine lady to which is hard to find today.

That photo of Lady Bird and her husband kneeling in a field of yellow wildflowers is precious. I love her for her deep concern of all living things. Dolly Parton's song is exactly right for this. Great job!
