End the Fed Minneapolis hosted a banner action on 3.22.10. Near the end of the event, two State Troopers approached us on an overpass and ended up detaining three of us to ID us and write down our information and provide us with a verbal warning. In this film, they claimed we were littering despite the fact that we had removed everything and were in the process of leaving.

Please note that I was recording this on a flip cam while being ID'd so there is some obvious unsteady camera work. Thanks to Chris for doing some of the editing. :-)

  • The Trooper explained it Very Clearly (and nicely). Whats the issue here? Oh ya thats right I forgot, your a poor, spolied, surbarban, "hate the man" idiot. Did your college proffesor influence you to do this in the school that mommy and daddy pay for you to go to. You have No clue about the real world and this video proves it.

  • Looks like the trooper handled himself pretty well considering noone would cooperate with him until he asked them to repeatedly. And yes there is a MN statute next to the littering statute called "affixing unautherized material to state property." If everyone was allowed to put whatever they wanted onto the freeway walls and overpasses imagine the mess. And no they dont just pick on people they usually respond to complaints they receive. I wish he would have cited them rather than warned them...

  • i wish cops would be put infront of firing squad for wasteing tax payer dollars there an after the fact force. yes i understand that litter could be a problem but you could have just been like ok officer you have a great day no need to give him shit or your id next time ask for his to make sure hes a cop lol that really pisses them off cause they want to be reckonized and fear fascism at its highest right there brother let the man run it and keep feeding the beast.

  • @boomer290 i aint saying that i love their presence yet i dont really have anything against them. people need to realize they are here to help you and if they aint helping you they are protectiong the rest of the people.

  • @tkbuckslayer not if they were doing nothing wrong

  • Idk why people have a problem with the police omg

  • the cops were totally correct. they have the right to i.d u. if u dont like that move to another country

  • @greggh Good for you. They are in violation of crime. He asked for their ID's. They're being assholes about it. Case closed.

  • @greggh It doesn't matter if you are driving or not? Do you understand the law? If you break it, a peace officer has the right to ID you. Littering is breaking the law, therefore, he has every right to request their identification.

  • @lightfighter442 I agree that the troopers acted well at the beginning. But at the point where they ordered the people to produce their IDs they were violating their 4th amendment rights. In the USA we still have the right to walk around without papers. These people were not driving at the time. Now you may think that it's fine, for a police officer to violate the constitution that he swore an oath to uphold. I think it's a disgrace. I think both these troopers are disgraces to their badges.

  • What a Maricon.

  • @DJYC21215 honestly man you seem like youre on the argumentative level of a third grader so ill let you mosey on over to a dora the explorer video and start debating people there because you dont know what in the fuck you are talking about over here.
