Three other tips:

1. Turn off your smoke detector before the photo session.

2. Turn your smoke detector on again after the photo session

3. If you don't have a smoke detector, you should leave your computer immediately and go buy a smoke detector.

what if we dont have a flash?can we use a lamp??thanks

you can use a lamp but because the lightsource is different(continous vs. Instantaneous) you should adjust your camera settings. aperture, shutter speed and iso.

If you mount the incense stick on a lab jack then as it burns down so you can crank it back up to the sweet spot for the flash.
