Can anyone identify this hawk sound? The video was taken with a phone so you can barely view the bird, so you'll have to just rely on the sound. The next is in central Minnesota in a wetland area near a lake. When I checked bird sounds on allaboutbirds.com, it sounds just like a Harris's Hawk but those stay in the SW United States and in South America. The age of the hawk in this audio is about 2 months. They are large (the two 'babies' seem to be about 3 pounds...with feathers they look to be about the size of my 10 pound dog), and they fly around screeching contantly. Their wing span seems to be about 30 inches already. The underside of their wings seem to have a lighter/whitish softball-size spot in the middle of each wing, and in the middle of the underside of their tail. I called a falconry expert but he couldn't identify it either.
