@Northstander Definetely, the faith school thing is bullshit, they just fight with each other constantly anyway, especially in Glasgow, its constant. And the large majority will be caused by people who dont even believe in their shitty god, its just culture christian crap. Faith schools and the nonsense of traditional christenings should stop, its just nonsense. The traditional christening is basically just giving the child the green light to be an idiot when they get to school.

@ByTheBeardOfZeus1000 A step in the right direction might be to end the education of children by dividing them on religious grounds. Whilst those in favour will always say that other traditions and faiths are recognised and respected it will always result in an "us" and "them" culture, if this happens in childhood it is unlikely to change and people will always look back (to 1690) rather than forwards and trying to find a way to co-exist in a peaceful manner.

@Northstander Put simple, Glasgow is a prime example of why religion is a virus on mankind. Even for a city that has more atheists than anywhere else in the country the traditional sectarianism wont go away because its ingrained on the history and culture. Its bullshit and people should actually examine this god for what he is portrayed in that book, a total cunt. @Northstander Honestly, the bigoted on both sides have never been to a pineapple in their lifes. All it is is to be as bigoted and hatefull as possible because its the done thing to support a terrorist network and a football team (even though the terror has stopped)

You ask people you know that are bigoted if they even believe in god, most say no, and even the one or two that believe dont go to church nothing. So basically they dont even realise they are apparently going to hell for it.

@ByTheBeardOfZeus1000 Fair point, surely the Christian religion is largely based on tolerance and respect, which if put into practice would end this sort of thing.  The whole Rangers/Celtic animosity largely uses their percieved religion to back up their petty minded bigotry and inability to enter the 21st Century, I doubt if many are true practicing Christians.
