Mauser C.96 - 7.63x25 Mauser. This is a Wartime Commercial model - most likely made in 1918 judging by the serial number

Preparing, loading and firing ten rounds from the Mauser C.96.

The stripper clips are a bit fiddly. I don't really have any decent video editing software to smooth those transitions, my apologies.

  • im no expert but does that hammer moving back and forth behind the gun have any chance of slamming the user on his thumb?

    -

  • @fullfist It is a concern with the stock fixed as your thumb must cross over. Without the stock the hammer doesn't come close to your thumb.

  • looks tough to reaload..

  • @RogerVan92 Faster than a loading-gate revolver which was its primary competition in the 1890's when it was designed.

  • Wouldn't this be the Astra Spanish reproduction seeing as how it uses those stripper clips?

  • @HackerAndBootSniffer It's a Mauser. They've used 10-round stripper clips since 1896. The roll marks on the side of the frame and top of the chamber assert that.

  • @evildude109 A transferable machine gun (registered prior to May 1986) is exempt from other NFA registration. The barrel length and presence of a stock is inconsequential. This, however, is a C&R pistol and requires no tax stamps.

  • Thumbs uo if ur here coz of RE 4

  • chinese pistol from fallout 3 lol

  • That pistol is huge! I read about the Mauser c96 many times but this is my first time seeing it loaded and shot. Wow! Thanks for posting!

  • An icon! I just found one wartime commercial too, with Kriegsmarine acceptation stamp, for a fair price, Just have to wait the papers... Good vid anyway!

  • @MetallumGamer And thumbs down if because of Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows?

  • I love my C96 (1915 Model), dissasemble is a pain in the ass after each shooting ( corrosive ammo -.- ), but it is such a fun gun. It's always an attention getter at the range I go to!

  • @something01992 how much money do you have ? the c 96 is very expensive .. unless your "opa" served in the "Kaiserliches Heer " or the "wehrmacht" and got one of these

  • Aw man, I'm so jealous
