Look at the percentages: 12.4% of the black populace is on welfare. Only 4.5% of the white populace is. The same with public housing: 11.3% of the black populace and only 2.1% of the white populace. The truth is not that more blacks are on welfare than whites but rather that a greater percentage of the black populace is on welfare than whites. But if you were arguing that most blacks are not on welfare, then you succeeded and the information about whites was irrelevant to your point.

Percentages are not a straight line and furthermore, percentages need footnotes to explain their context. For instance, no whites in this country ever had laws on the books to prevent them from doing anything for any sustained period of time.

Secondly, my paycheck doesn't give a damn what "percentage" of who gets my tax dollars for welfare purposes. The FACT of the matter is that as a black man, my tax dollars go to support overwhelmingly white poor people.

That is the ultimate point.

Lets give it up for the law enforcement in Ghana. They must run the tightest ship over there. Im sure every single crime is given a full investigation and all guilty criminals prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Ghana's law enforcement and drug agency's only concern is their corrupt activities.

@BouncingFerret- Are you out of your mind? You obviously don't understand the way percentages work. Whites total population in America:176 million. Blacks total:36 million. 4.5% of whites on welfare = 6.8 million. 12.4% Blacks on welfare = 4 million. So you far are way more by over 2 million. The reason your number appears low is because you're going by percentage. Well, when you do that then you must look at the total numbers of whites. Your numbers are higher because you are over populated!

I think when u look at the figures more closely, its not so much about race as it is about poverty &education level. Sure there r disproportionately more minorities in poverty than wp, but if u look at the history in the U.S. do u really expect in only what 50yrs that an entire group of people would have clawed their way up both educationally &financially? Ok, then there's welfare which mandates u stay poor to continue getting help, not help u increasingly less until u stand on ur own

The only thing the "single offender victims of violent crime" statstic shows that whites are more likely to attack one on one than blacks. I'd like to see the statistics on "multiple offender victim of violent crime". I am forced to admit that when ever you hear of a lone gunman it is usually a white male, but if a group is involved it is very often a group of black men or women.
