@WatchSocietyBurn Most of the combine's technology is based around the capture and use of exotic matter (mainly dark energy) which, according to mainstream theories, makes up around 70% of the mass of the universe. It's technically been proven to exist in simulations of the universe, but in Half-Life, the Combine really prove it. So yes, it's likely they know more about neutrinos than us. The Half-Life "Combine Overwiki" website has a great article dark energy usage.

Half-life's atmosphere is absolutely brilliant. This song is perfect - the creepy freezer room in the first game, and your first close-up of the citadel in the second. Absolutely amazing.
0:10 - who else can automatically hear what sounds like 2 massive peices of metal being thrown together really hard?
