So silly of Dodge Viper to go to the Nurburgring to try and set some kind of record. They showed up with a full factory team with a highly specced racecar purpose built for the job... well let me inform you Ferrari did the same lap times already in 1975 if you want to count racecars. Since the track was closed for racing in the 80s very few companies go there to test their cars and even fewer go for lap times. So its not like its an international benchmark.

Im a fan of jap cars... but they have the most potential? Never say something without having facts to back it up. Jap cars are very highly tuned to get the most out of what it is... especially N/A varients. The LS2/3/7's have MASSIVE potential and for VERY little cost... Jap cars cost Alot to modify properly and usually become unreliable as most of the decent ones are turbo.
