Knowing these Chinese diesels, they are probably not direct-injected, but have a swirl chamber instead. They are based on an early Ricardo design.

@douro20 You could be correct. I did read online specs which stated that the engine was direct injected but the site is gone and I can not find any other sites which show the specs in detail. The head casting is quite shallow though and the nozzles would have to be short indeed to accommodate a swirl chamber. Some day I will pull an injector to check.

Hey Connor, yah, it's not the most well balanced engine but it is on a rickety wood decked shop cart so that doesn't help. It would probably be pretty smooth bolted to a concrete slab which is what it will be if i turn it in to a generator.
I used the new windows live movie maker beta release. It has several presets called automovie themes. It automatically sets the visual effects. You can add any music you want and control the start and end points.
