I don't need a 1,200 pound stallion thinking I am another horse do I? He knows how to give effection in ways that don't lead to nipping and I would like to keep it that way. Muffin is a very loving horse but being a stallion he needs to know there are boundrys to his effections. I don't want him "grooming" the farrier too do I? lol Not a good idea and it leads to nipping real fast.

If Muffin was a Gelding then it wouldnt be a big deal. But, Muffin is a Stallion and should learn that he is not allowed to mouth at me for any reason. He needs to know the basic rules of respect. He does have a very strong bond with me but I am a human not another horse and he needs to know he can not play with me or groom me like he would another horse.

<3 Muffin and the Furminator. :)
How does it work if you use it on the mane or tail? It really is a dramatic demonstration comparing the curry to the furminator.

@FilmerOfBobcats, You shouldn't use it on the mane or tail. It has very small "teeth" that grab lose hairs. The teeth are very small and wouldn't work for brushing a mane or tail. It works great on smooth short hair like the hair on a horses body or short to medium haired dog.
It also works great to get off dried mud in the winter when you don't want to give your horses a bath, just give them a once over with either the Laube or Furminator (same comb) .
