I have created this video using Google Earth 5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Screenflow and Safari. This video was created to help put Rutgers University "on the map" and in hopes that it will appear on the official WhereRU website at http://whereru.rutgers.edu. I created the video by finding sources on WhereRU and adding those sources into My Places in Google Earth. When thinking about how I wanted to create my video, I thought it would be cool if it could look as if the viewer was driving into Busch Campus from Route 18. My plans did not go as smoothly as I had hoped, as Google has not actually driven into Rutgers University with one of their Google Street View vehicles just yet. I substituted the street view with close-up, angled, overhead images from Google Earth and Screenflow's screen capturing software took care of the rest. I sped up the clips I recorded using Adobe Premiere and this helped to make the video look smoother, although I had problems getting clean playback in the preview window of Adobe Premiere. I chose the Gucci Mane's "Lemonade" instrumental as the music for this video because I did not want to choose something that was too mellow and was looking for something with a bit of hip hop in it and this was a well-balanced beat. I hope you enjoy the video, and if you're professor Spoerri, then I hope you enjoy it enough to bestow upon me the almighty A.
