1962 - He is perhaps best known for his work with Marilyn Monroe, however, with whom he was collaborating on a book at the time of her death. As part of this project, he is believed to have taken the last photographs of Monroe while she was alive. He did not allow these to be published until many years after her death. George Barris and famed photographer Bert Stern claim to have taken the 'last picture' of Marilyn Monroe, when neither of them did, since photographer Allan Grant photographed Monroe on July 7, 1962 for a LIFE Magazine article. This article was printed just two days before Monroe's death.

  • it was fun to see her foolin around ..she was a great woman .. unfortunately she was murdered ...you know why ..

  • she seemsed happy in the pics but i wonder what was really bothering her

  • Only Marilyn reads a script that way.

  • I can truely say she was and is a beautiful person, she just seemed so lonely. Lonely with all that fame is a shame. I can't believe she would be 86 years old now. When you listen to her talk to reporters her voice was somewhat natural but on camera she was a actress.

  • @yawnjones Night and Day is the name of the music

  • I like these pics if it wasn't for MM I would have been dead in my self long ago her image and her great glamour even has always gotten me through some harsh times
