http://LivinLaVidaLowCarb.com/blog blogger Jimmy Moore and his wife Christine wanted to talk about an inexpensive new blood sugar diagnostic test they found at Wal-mart that is essential for diabetics and anyone concerned about their weight and health in the latest installment of their popular "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb on YouTube" series.

In Episode 76, Jimmy and Christine tell you about the Reli On A1c Test available from Wal-mart for just $9. Check it out:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10575934

Jimmy was not paid to talk about this product, but he was so impressed with the fact you get all the testing materials, including lancets, alcohol swabs, gauze, a postage-paid envelope, and blood retrieval card that will give you your A1c test results in less than a week that he just HAD to share this $9 test with you. And even if you are not diabetic, you need to know how well you are controlling your blood sugar levels and this test will show you what your average blood glucose has been for the past 2-3 months. If you are livin' la vida low-carb, then your results will be well below 6.0.

Also in this episode, find out about the new glasses you see Jimmy and Christine wearing as well as some fun "filler" stuff at the end of the video. It's yet another thrill-packed edition of your favorite low-carb YouTube video series!

  • I'm happy to help anytime! :)

  • Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. So very glad to hear that as I'm ok as long as I can't see the needle. ;) You're doing a wonderful service for people and I truly appreciate it!

  • There's not much need for blood to do this test...just a few drops and that's it. You can certainly use your existing lancets to make it happen. Let me know how it works out for you, Kim! :D THANK YOU for watching!

  • Hi Jimmy~Thanks for sharing this info! I was diagnosed 5 mos ago. No insurance, no A1C test yet, so will get one of these. I use a One-Touch Ultra Mini that takes very little blood, which is a blessing as I not only hate, but am deathly afraid of, needles. How much blood is required for the ReliOn test? Is it substantially more than what my Ultra Mini requires? Will I be able to draw blood for the test using my Ultra Mini lancet? Look forward to learning more from you two! ~Kim

  • Jen, I remember answering your question but for some reason it looks like YouTube didn't publish it. My apologies. I never purposely ignore anyone who leaves a comment, especially a regular like you. Sorry you feel I slighted you somehow.

That said, to answer your original question, you provide your name and address along with your birth date and a signature to release them to perform the test. That's it! We just mailed Christine's last week and look forward to the results. THANKS! :)

  • Hey Jimmy, thanks for answering EVERYONE BUT ME. This is not the first time you have done this. Have I done something to offend you?
